R&D Centre Evaluation and Control Commission of Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology approved Meditera Tıbbi Malzeme A.Ş. R&D department on March 1, 2017. In a total area of 471 m2 including 226 m2 laboratory, Meditera Tıbbi Malzeme R&D center carries out R&D studies with its personnel in following areas,

  • Legislation,
  • Patent,
  • Test and control,
  • End user and supplier research,
  • Continuous improvement
  • Track change.
R&D center of Meditera Tıbbi Malzeme A.Ş has microbiology and mechanic laboratories. In these laboratories, there are devices that can be used for advanced examinations such as air conditioning cabinet, gas chromatography, atomic absorption spectrometer and fully automatic compression pull device besides standard laboratory equipment.

The main activity of the R&D center within Meditera is the development of new generation, innovative breathing circuits, infusion sets and user-friendly medical devices that reduce hospital infection risks, increase the efficiency and accuracy of the procedures applied to patients, enable doctors and nurses to use their time more efficiently, and reduce the cost of consumables of hospitals.

Our aim is to develop the necessary production processes for the mass production of the developed products in accordance with ISO standards; to increase production efficiency in order to increase exports in an environment of intense competition and price pressure; to improve the processes used in production and to reduce costs by using lean production and continuous improvement techniques.

OUR R&D STRATEGY

  • To focuse on value-added products in line with market requirements in terms of company and R&D.
  • To carry out new and alternative design and development studies in order to reduce the existing product cost and increase the quality.
  • To work on products that are efficient, low cost, ergonomic, highly reliable, sensitive to human and environment and reducing resource use.
  • To create added value for our country by designing products to be exported.
  • To carry out training, consultancy and applications that will continuously increase the level of competence and expertise.
  • To apply a design approach that considers and optimizes all processes.
  • To establish cooperation with universities and institutes at home and abroad.
  • To make international patent applications for the products developed.
Two TUBITAK 1501 projects have been successfully completed within our R&D center. As a result of the projects carried out in the R&D center, three products with international patent registration have been developed.
