Coaxial Circuits

Patented Altech coaxial breathing circuit with needle-free connector and water trap is designed to prevent water accumulation in the expiration line, which is one of the negative effects of low flow anesthesia.

The needle-free connectors on the patented water trap allow the infected fluid accumulated in the circuit to be discharged from the system with injectors without contacting healthcare workers or other patients.

  • It traps the condensed water from low flow anesthesia in the circuit.
  • Prevents cross contamination risk by draining the contaminated water trap content in a closed system.

Fully Closed Ventilation

Thanks to the design of the patented water trap with needle-free connector that does not need to be opened to ambient air, the breathing circuit is not opened to the outside during invasive ventilation, and the negative effects of Sepsis and VAP (Ventilator-Related Pneumonia) and prolonged hospital stay are prevented. In addition, the fact that the water trap does not open to the ambient air prevents the decrease of PEEP (Positive End Expiratory Pressure) pressure, thus maintaining the patient's oxygenation and average airway pressure. Thanks to the 360 degree rotatable patient connection, the water trap position can be adjusted according to the surgical supine or prone position.

Fully closed system breathing circuits protect especially healthcare personnel, patients, ventilators and anesthesia devices from diseases with high infectiousness; It has a vital function in preventing these diseases from passing on to the next patients.

Natural Heating

While Altech coaxial breathing circuits heat and humidify the inhaled air naturally by transferring the heat in expiration at an angle of 360 degrees around the inspiratory line; It reduces your need for heat and moisture filters. Thus, both the ideal breathing temperature is provided for the patient and the efficiency of the anesthetic gases used increases.

Transfer from Operating Room to Intensive Care Unit with A Single Circuit

Thanks to the integrated expiratory water trap, the patient can be transferred to the intensive care unit with the same breathing circuit and the same circuit can be also used in the intensive care unit. Thus, savings are achieved in both breathing circuit consumption; Operational problems such as deterioration in oxygenation and PEEP (Positive End Expiratory Pressure) pressure loss that may be experienced during circuit change can be prevented.

Safer at Low Flow

Integrated CO2 sampling line enables end-tidal CO2 measurement via capnography device; Thus, the risk of re-breathing in low flow anesthesia is eliminated. It is also equipped with connector outlets that enable temperature and expiratory pressure measurements.

Light Weight, Low Resistance

Lightweight Single-Line hose structure with polyethylene feature creates less torque effect in the artificial respiratory tract of the patient and minimizes material confusion in the operating room.
